by the grace of Maa Lakshmi.

I am Sonu Mehta & I live in California. I am a Homemaker & live my life to the fullest.
One of the reasons I am making this blog is for all those who are not aware of this vrat & for those who would love to perform this but doesnt have the book or doesnot know the right method to do it.

My Story:

Like everyone even we had very rough time when I was young, we had really bad time and no one knew when this would end. Then there was a ray of hope and someone from ur relatives told about this vrat to ur family & my elder sister decided to perform this on every friday and all of a sudden things came back to become better and we were able to invite people to ur home and celebrate 21st friday grandly and from that day we decided to continue Vaibhav Laxmi vrat. I wouldnt write this if i would not have experienced this personally. Today I am happy & well settled with my hubby in US. So goddess Lakshmiji has given us everything we wanted & will continue to shower her blessing on one and all.

             Another reason is after coming here I couldnot find the book neither I could find the same content online. Not only me it happened with many people that gave me a thought that like me there might be other people who are looking out for this book and then I thought of making it avaible online so that others too can benefit of this book. Finally I took out some time & made this blog ,
So my dear friends please feel free to take printouts if you cant find books. Also I would request you to tell about this blog to your family and friends so that they can benifit too from this vrat.

    NOTE:
    Dear Devotees,

    Let me clarify one thing.Please Please dont start the vrat if you are not sure that you cant finish it properly, there are loads of people telling me that they dont know anyone or dont have sufficent ladies to come at home for uddhapan vidhi.People ask can i give the prasad and book at temple, Its clearly written in the book to call people at home and give when you cant perform puja outside home then how can you do the uddhapan vidh in the temple.. Pease dont do the vrat if you cant follow the rules. It might not give you the desired results.Other thing is I follow whats in the book i cant go and personally give my own suggestion to any of you. Only if you have any doubts let me email me and i shall get back to you whenever i get chance.

    I want to start this vrat.but,i m now working ,so can't do puja in evening.Can I do puja in morning??? please reply so,I can start this vrat from next time..

      If u can come home bit early or u can do it by 8 it should be fine but don't do it after 8.30 or 9 better do it in morning if u don't have a choice.

      I dont know i have just heard that it should be exactly at 4 p.m. is it so? and is it that we have to continue at the same time always then. Sometimes it has happened that i started the fast and in the evening get menstrual period n then i cant continue and have to break it. How is it then a mistake or have to keep the fast without worshiping as we cant do puja. Pls do reply. thanks n regards.

    Hi,
    This is Sireesha from Los Angeles.
    Every Friday, after the vrat is over, do we pour the water in plant, that same day. I guess, my question is more like, do we remove the kalas that same day or do we do it on Saturday. Can you please let me know. Thanks.

      If u r doing the puja early evening at 6 it's fine u can pour water in tulasi plant but as ur elders say after sunset we don't water plants if its late then u may do it next day that's completely fine. I always poured the water to tulsi the next day

      Yeh you can perform it in ur shop that's fine..u don't have to invite people every Friday last Friday is fine

    I m a working woman and cant keep the fast as described by you ...but i keep eating fruits ...and also i had bananashake and aloo chat with out salt...is it okay ??

      I don't know what have u read if u read my blog properly u would never end up in asking all these questions..I would request u to go thru FAQs and lamxiji story..as per what I said u can do complete fasting eat once or eat twice if u can't stay hungry..

    Can we attend funerals during 11 weeks. One of maternal uncle passed away on Sunday. Till now we have completed week 9
